A one-day refresher of our Mindset of a Leader course that was offered this summer. Open to our past graduates as well as anyone else interested in the program.

About the event

Our Mindset of a Leader program is open to teens ages 13-18 who have a desire to find their unique calling. Participants should want to discover their potential, be open to personal growth, and commit to breaking through their barriers.

We cultivate a sense of belonging and celebrate an individual’s unique worth and provides the opportunity for mentorship.  Goal setting and commitment will create and establish good soil for tomorrow’s leaders to grow and succeed.

Below you will find a tentative schedule for the day.

**9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Welcome and Introduction**

- Overview of the day’s schedule

- Brief introduction to the HITTER values

- Icebreaker activity to build camaraderie /competition

**9:15 AM - 9:45 AM: Session 1 – Hope**

- Interactive discussion on what hope means

- Personal stories or examples of hope in action

- Short group activity to identify personal hopes/goals

**9:45 AM - 10:15 AM: Session 2 – Integrity**

- Talk on the importance of honesty and ethics in leadership

- Role-playing scenarios to practice integrity in challenging situations

- Reflection exercise on past experiences with integrity

**10:15 AM - 10:30 AM: Break**

**10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Session 3 – Tenacity**

- Motivational speech on the power of perseverance

- Physical activity or challenge to demonstrate tenacity (like a relay race)

- Group discussion on overcoming obstacles

**11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Session 4 – Teamwork**

- Team-building exercises (e.g., problem-solving games)

- Discussion on how teamwork contributes to success

- Small group project or challenge

**11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Session 5 – Empowerment**

- Talk on the importance of taking control of one’s life

- Empowerment exercise where participants set personal goals

- Peer mentoring session to encourage each other

**12:00 PM - 12:45 PM: Lunch Break**

- Time for participants to relax and socialize

**12:45 PM - 1:15 PM: Session 6 – Resilience**

- Storytelling session on bouncing back from setbacks

- Group discussion on resilience and how to build it

- Short physical activity focusing on pushing through discomfort

**1:15 PM - 2:00 PM: Putting It All Together**

- Review and discussion of the HITTER values as a whole

- Participants create a personal action plan incorporating HITTER

- Open floor for questions and reflections

**2:00 PM - 2:15 PM: Break**

**2:15 PM - 3:00 PM: Leadership in Action**

- Practical application of leadership skills in a group challenge or project

- Focus on applying HITTER values in real-time

3:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Closing Ceremony**

- Participants share their action plans

- Recognition of effort and participation

- Final motivational speech and encouragement to carry the lessons forward
